Jeff is responsible for leading growth and retention strategies in Savoy’s markets. He values the importance of a personalized consultative approach and enjoys collaborating with our teams as well as our carrier and broker partners alike to address challenges and drive business growth across all markets.
Born in the Bronx, NY, Jeff is a graduate of Stony Brook University who now calls the Garden State home. He started his career in the industry as an underwriter for a top 10 insurance benefits consulting firm where he has underwritten hundreds of risks. He also served as the Director of Underwriting for a NYC Benefits Consulting firm where he provided cost and claims analyses and developed renewal projections and rate rationales utilizing national, regional and local benchmarking data. He is proficient in all funding arrangements and specializes in identifying the most cost-effective funding arrangement and providing education of the advantages and disadvantages of each arrangement for clients.
Throughout his career, Jeff has consistently provided solutions to organizations throughout diverse markets by maintaining focus on the goals and objectives of his clients and understanding the culture and community of the organizations.
Before joining Savoy, Jeff held leadership positions at brokerage firms and carriers including Marsh McLennan Agency, EmblemHealth, Oxford and CNA. As an established leader with over 30 years’ experience in employee benefits, he brings his extensive knowledge and expertise in the areas of business development, sales, account management, underwriting, growth and leadership to brokers and carrier partners.
Jeff is an avid golfer and hoops player and enjoys coaching and cheering for his two daughters’ sports teams. Additionally, he serves as a Board of Director for Imagine, which provides free, year-round grief support for children, families and communities.
