Don is the CEO of Savoy, an industry-leading general agency. Savoy is a strategic partner to brokers and insurance carriers, providing best-in-class consultative services in 40+ states, through its offices in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Florida.
In 1985, Don joined his father at Savoy after working as a special risk underwriter at American International Group (AIG) in New York City. Don worked closely with his father until his retirement in 1991; this was the year Savoy was awarded its first General Agency contract and Don began his role as President.
Throughout his tenure at Savoy, Don has led the successful transformation of the organization—from a 2-employee small company to a mature corporate organization of 150 staff, made up of industry experts and dynamic professionals, through organic growth and several acquisitions.
Today, Don’s primary responsibilities include being Savoy’s culture ambassador and closely monitoring sales and revenue, as well as being personally committed to building the next generation of leaders, while expanding Savoy’s geographic footprint. He is most proud of Savoy’s growth and ability to adapt over the years, but more importantly, the people and teams of experts that embody and represent Savoy’s overall corporate vision, mission and values.
